Job Title:: Secondary Agriculture Science and Technology Instructor/Advisor
Teaching Assignments:: Possess the ability to effectively teach content related to the following areas: Plant Science, Agricultural Mechanics, and other General Agricultural Education content. Any specialties and skills relevant to a diverse program curriculum are welcome.
Additional Duties:: Possess the ability to serve as an FFA advisor, including successfully training students for various Career and Leadership Development Events, progressive Supervised Agriculture Experiences, effectively training chapter officers, participating in community service events, serving on the Ag Advisory Committee, and other program activities. Create and maintain a classroom environment built on respect and a growth mindset that fosters student motivation and learning. The applicant must be highly motivated themselves and be willing to work with other exceptional teaching partners in maintaining an exemplary program that typifies the very best of the three-circle model in Agricultural Education.
Additional School Information:: American Falls High School is located in American Falls, Idaho (83211) at 2966 South Frontage Road. We are an agricultural community first and foremost. We have a diverse demographic and have earned success with all manner of students. Our average enrollment from 9th to 12th grade is 450. The current unduplicated enrollment in the program is 307 as an affiliated FFA chapter. Our student body is highly motivated to achieve academic success, and many choose to translate that into success within the program and FFA. Primary facility responsibilities within the program also include: 3,200 sq. ft. metal lab fully equipped with welding and metal fabrication equipment. An addition in 2025 included a 1,500 sq.ft. wood construction lab and an expansion of 1,600 sq.ft. to the metal lab. Shared responsibilities within the program also include: A 12-acre Land Lab, which is member-operated and supervised by local industry partners and the instructor(s). A 12’x16’ Chicken Coop, which is operated by the animal science classes and supervised by the instructor(s). A 40’ X 40’ Pole Barn with stalls for small livestock and student SAEs. A 40’ X 60’ Greenhouse, which is member-operated and supervised by the instructor(s). A half-acre community flower garden and a raised vegetable garden where program members partner with citizens to produce these various crops for personal consumption and use. Full teaching contract for 187 days. An extended contract of 35 days. Other supplemental contracts are available depending on the candidate's interests.

Madison High School
Job Title: Agricultural/CTE Instructor
Teaching Assignments: Duties will include teaching botany, plant science, greenhouse management, floral design, nursery landscape, and soil science, ag structures/woodshop. Must be science endorsed. Teacher responsibilities will be discussed with the candidates but would most likely include some animal science, leadership, classes in the plant and soil pathway.
Additional Duties: Serving as an FFA advisor is expected and will be required but those responsibilities will be shared with the other advisors. Extended contract days are paid with this position. 30-40 days will be offered based on experience.
