Additional Duties: I. TITLE: Vocational/Science Teacher II. QUALIFICATIONS: A. Valid Idaho Teaching Certificate endorsed for appropriate levels and subjects. B. Ability to work with students, staff, parents, and the public. C. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. III. REPORTS TO: Building Administrator. IV. JOB GOALS: To support the delivery of School District 215’s written, taught, tested and reported curriculum and contribute to maximizing student achievement as tested with the Idaho Standards Achievement Test. To help students learn subject matter and/or skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible individuals. V. PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Plans a program of study that, as much as possible, meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students assigned for instruction. B. Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students. C. Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals. D. Employs instructional methods and materials that are most appropriate to the teaching assignment. E. Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provides progress reports as required. F. Teton High School/Middle School

Teaching Assignments: We have a great shop program that includes a welding pathway and a cluster program teaching a range of classes. Primary needs are advanced welding, small engines, Ag Mech, Intro to Ag but some courses will be subject to the applicant. Middle School needs are being discussed. Additional School Information: FFA and program is growing. Primarily became a shop only department, but has grown exponentially the last two years. Community is diverse but loves the agriculture department especially as we continue to grow. We are in the process of building an alumni. FFA is raising fair turkeys and rabbits. We are finalizing the last amounts of a funds for the greenhouse and should be established at the end of the 2025 calendar year.
